"Christmas in July"
Maybe not exactly a Christmas Carol... I was sitting around one afternoon, and the a vision of the Late, Great, Louis Armstrong came into my head. Now my attempt, towards the end, to sound like the man, is not exactly him, but I always loved the way he sounded and thought he needed a little Christmas love song.

Christmas in July

It was early in December
Darlin', I remember
When you first gave your love to me
Christmas bells were ringin'
Everyone was singin'
And lights were on the Christmas Tree

You were getting all giggly in your Santa Claus hat
And I was wondering what a season's change would see
Oh, If I still have your loving in the Summertime
It will be Christmas in July for me...

When the frost is on the pheasant
And folks are op'nin' presents
And there is laughter in the air
It's my favorite time of year, dear,
When your tongue is in my ear, dear
And music's playing everywhere,

It's not so long from Winter 'til the days are warm
And leaves are growing on the Mesquite tree
So If I still have your lovin' in the Summertime
It will be Christmas in July for me,

I mean it, darlin'...,
If I still have your lovin' in the Summertime
It will be Christmas in July for me,
Oh.... Ye-ah.
